After a long period, the Starz television finally announced the date of the premiere season 2. The TV show has felt some behind-the-scenes confusion with authors and that’s why this Michael Green and Bryan Fuller decided to leave the show due to the series’ budget and creative disagreements.
So the series got new showrunner Jesse Alexander (Hannibal). He got series where season 1 ends, with Mr. Wednesday, Shadow Moon who is on their way to collect all of the Old Gods to make the war against New Gods. The series has a lot of casting, showrunning changes and all of this may do new experience for the audience it already has.
Starz offered up an official release for the new season of American Gods that not only included a snappy new poster but also detailed what viewers can expect from the series when it returns. Check out the poster and synopsis below:
An official release of the new season, except the new poster, will contain the detail of what viewers can wait from new series.
We were forged in God’s image, but the Gods are also made in ours — and in Season Two the battle moves inexorably toward crisis point as the destinies of gods and men collide. While Mr. World plots revenge for the attack against him in Season One, Shadow throws in his lot with Wednesday’s attempt to convince the Old Gods of the case for full-out war, with Laura and Mad Sweeney in tow. A council at the House on the Rock explodes into chaos, sending deities both Old and New on quests across America that will converge on Cairo, Illinois: forcing Shadow to carve out a place as a believer in this strange new world of living gods — a dark world where change demands commitment and faith requires terrible sacrifice.
The second season for sure brings us a lot of expectations which comes from the first season. It could be a chance that Starz will deliver the teaser trailer until the end of the year.
American Gods season 2 premieres March 10, 2019 on Starz.
